Evan's Room
Evan's Room features a large mural of an outdoor scene. The scene includes several insects and creatures. Also in Evan's room is a custom painting of Speed Racer.

Amelia's Room
Amelia's room is the most recent. The design included meticulous stripes of alternating size, four paintings of cartoon scenes, a ceiling full of clouds, an installation piece, and several cartoon figures hidden around the room. The ceiling also features glow in the dark star constellations taken from a star-chart dated the night Amelia was born. The placement of stars is accurate to the coordinates of Amelia's room. The close-ups shown here are a series of cartoon scenes created in partnership with Amelia's parents. Their input was encouraged and utilized at every juncture.

WHAT DOES ART MONKEY DO?
I create murals, faux finishes, trompe l'oeil, portraits, and custom art installations. I specialize in children's rooms, but I have also done murals for several businesses around town, including Asti, Maudie's, and Straight Music. For samples, see below.
WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT?
We have an initial meeting phone conversation (no charge) to see if I can meet your needs. Then I create a sketch or mutiple sketches for a small fee. If you choose to have the mural done, we agree on a price and deadline and we both sign off on the sketch and the price. I will honor this price and deadline as long as their are no significant changes.
WHAT ABOUT PRICING?
Pricing is based on the size and complexity of the mural. I have competitive rates for this area and for the quality of the final product.
PAYMENT: The first third of the agreed amount (plus the initial sketch fee) is due as a deposit at the signing of the contract. The second third is due upon an agreed date midway through completion of the mural. The last third is due upon completion of the mural.
